BRCA Round 3 - Brooklands Dez Chand reports:

Brookland hosted the first ever Superpole, with a 2 second handicap for Superbike and one second for Supersport it meant even the Stocks were in with a shout. Steve Newey won with a very clean lap with his KP07 Supersport, the in field kick used by the cars causing problems for most drivers and levelling the field, as everyone had been practising on the full course. Simon Lancaster had put up the prize, a Team Suzuki Jacket Rucksack, which raised the stakes a bit, and Superpole looks to be a regular feature of Saturday Practise from now on.
Steve went on to win both legs of Superstock, remarkable considering he was running the meetiung as well, spending more time in the office than the pits!

Dave Richards stamped his authority on Stock yet again using his McLarney Daytona to good effect with two fine wins, ahead of the fast improving Scott Adderson and Rookie Michael Laing.

Dave Andrews handed over the KP Nitro that won Halifax to James Crunden who went on to win the Nitro A Final, keeping it clean for a whole 15 minutes to stay ahead of Pole man John Veal and his "Superblade", Nitro Neville Smith coming third with the other KP Nitro.

While Phil Tennant piloted his McLareny Daytona superbly to set the fastest lap, Dave Andrew and his new Counter rotating KP09-E chassis won the Superbike finals by pipping a ballistic McLarney Daytona of Jevon Frost and his McLarney in the first one and holding off a hard charging Colin McCabe wit ha similar KP09-E in the second leg.

Several Rookies made their first track appearance, including Chris Groom who walked off with the GRP Concours prize for his Yamaha inspired design adorning his lovingly prepared McLarney chassis, chosen by guest judge Allan Greenfield from Weston UK.
